无限

这孤独的小山啊，
对我老是那么亲切，
而篱笆挡住我的视野，
使我不能望到最远的地平线。
我静坐眺望，仿佛置身于无限的空间，
周围是一片超乎尘世的岑寂，
以及无比深幽的安谧。
在我静坐的片刻，
我无所惊惧，心如死水，

“众鸟高飞尽，孤云独去闲。相看两不厌，只有敬亭山。”与李白笔下的敬亭山相类，“这孤独的小山”也来自于贾科莫·莱奥帕尔迪（GiacomoLeopardi，1798-1837） 经常被禁闭冥想的地方。莱奥帕尔迪是书香世家，他能流利读写拉丁语、希腊语和希伯来语，阅读量非常人所及。这里有个原因是他身体不佳，可能患有波特氏病 （脊椎结核病），青春时光少有欢乐，一直是在学习中度过。多病的书呆子，大概就是别人对他最直接的认识。此外，他那思想十分保守的父亲经常限制他的行动， 甚至他的爱情也越了界，他爱上了自己的表妹。

或许只有受到最多限制的人，才能最敏锐地感知到无限。在其他一切都成为空洞的时候，他能看见空洞之外的东西。

在这首诗里，“孤独的小山”可以是哲学、是艺术，是人类思想所能达到的顶峰，也可以是荣誉、是爱情，是人类生活最完美的体验。但它毕竟是孤独的，一定被某种篱笆所遮挡。静坐与眺望，却带着人超越那藩篱。甜蜜的无限，是一个人完全丢下自己，如遭海难而投身向海。
